IMEI Issue

I purchased an iPhone 14 pro max and sent it to my cousin in Pakistan. In Pakistan they have to get phone approved in order to use it and the phone is in customs until it gets approved.

The company is called PTA, Pakistan telecommunication authority and they said they would need an email from apple saying that the IMEI numbers are confirmed and verified and that it works. Is there any way apple can send an email to them or respond back to their email? They said they have emailed apple (manufacturer - where phone is from). Please respond back to the email clarifying that the IMEI numbers are correct.

Also how could I get a letter of approval saying that the IMEI numbers are correct, verified and that it works and there is no issues with it, so then my cousin could attach that approval letter online to PTA online complaint registration form and then send to PTA so they could proceed further.

Does anyone know how I can solve this issue, most of the companies are useless in solving every issue.

I understand that you are having trouble getting your iPhone 14 Pro Max approved by the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA). I can help you with this.

First, you need to get the IMEI number of your phone. You can do this by going to Settings > General > About > IMEI. Once you have the IMEI number, you need to contact Apple and ask them to send an email to the PTA confirming that the IMEI number is correct and that the phone is not blacklisted.

Here are the steps on how to contact Apple:

  1. Go to the Apple website and click on the "Contact Us" link.
  2. Select the "iPhone" product category.
  3. Select the "I need help with my iPhone" option.
  4. Select the "Other issue" option.
  5. Enter your IMEI number and your contact information.
  6. Click on the "Submit" button.

Apple will then send an email to the PTA confirming that the IMEI number is correct and that the phone is not blacklisted. Once the PTA receives this email, they will approve your phone and release it from customs.

In addition to getting the IMEI number confirmed, you may also need to get a letter of approval from Apple. This letter will state that the phone is not counterfeit and that it is compatible with the Pakistani cellular network. You can request this letter by contacting Apple customer support.

Once you have the letter of approval from Apple, you can attach it to the PTA online complaint registration form. The PTA will then review your form and approve your phone.

I hope this helps!
