Hide my email/iCloud mail rules

Hi, I’m trying to find out if the iCloud email rules work when hide my email is used.

So I have a couple of simple rules set up to send emails addressed and cc’d to, into another file away from the usual inbox but if hide my email is used with the email alias used in the rule they just land in the usual inbox and aren’t forwarded to the separate file. Is there a way around this or am I missing something really obvious? Appreciate any help, thanks.

OP, I don't have the answer for you, but I'm curious if in your rules, you are explicitly using the "Hide My Email" address for the "is addressed to" condition check or if you've used your primary iCloud email address there and are hoping that it will also work for the "Hide My Email" aliases? Maybe that's the issue?
