Next Track on Menu Bar

Hello Gals and Guys -

I had a Mac Mini about 15 years ago. Back then, I don't recall which version of the OS I had, you could put music controls on the Menu Bar - next and previous track on either side of a pause button. It seems now on my 2018 Mac Mini with Ventura I have to hit the Music button so I can go to the next track, making a two step process out of what should be a one step process. Is there some way I can get the basic controls back on Menu Bar for my Mini? Thanks for any help.
