Siri on iPad

To make Siri always speak her responses aloud on your iPad, follow these steps:

1. Open the Settings app.
2. Tap Siri & Search.
3. Under Siri Responses, tap Always Speak Responses.
4. If you want to see your requests onscreen as well, tap Always Show Speech.

Now, whenever you ask Siri a question or give her a command, she will always speak her response aloud. You can still tap on the Siri icon to see her response onscreen if you prefer.

Here are some additional things to keep in mind:

• You can also use the Hey Siri feature to activate Siri without having to press any buttons. To enable Hey Siri, make sure that the switch next to Hey Siri is turned on in the Siri & Search settings.
• If you're in a place where you don't want Siri to respond aloud, such as a meeting or a library, you can disable Always Speak Responses temporarily by pressing the Volume Up button.
• If you have a hearing impairment, you may want to disable Always Speak Responses and rely on the visual cues on the screen instead.
