CD rip error.

I just bought a CD i wanted to rip on my mac and when it gets to a certain track it ejects. 🤷🤷🤷🤷 Why? the cd is not scratched and plays fine on a CD player so there’s no excuse for this error.Please answer..

iMusic/Super Drive stopping halfway through ripping the last song on CD I am using iMusic and a Super Drive to rip music from a brand new CD. The last song on this disc always stops ripping before it finishes, and the disc auto ejects. I have tried about 10 times. Each time getting to a different point before it ejects, but it never finishes. I tried restarting my iMac. No luck. This has happened a few times before on certain CDs, but it is always the last song on the disc. Thanks.

CD rip error in Apple Music on MacBook Air: "required file cannot be found" I'm attempting to rip a CD to Apple Music on my MacBook Air 2020 running Monterey 12.6. I am able to rip the first file in each attempt, but as soon as it moves on to the second, I receive the same error message over and over: "Error occurred while converting the file [file name]. The required file cannot be found." After reviewing older threads here I've tried removing the Music icon and relaunching the program from the applications folder; updating permissions to "read and write" access for my Apple Music folders; changed the default location for imported music tracks to the music folder under my primary user identity; I have rebooted the computer after each of these steps. However, I continue to receive the same error message each time I try to rip a CD (I've tried multiple different CDs purchased at different times, etc.). I'd welcome any helpful suggestions. Thanks.

Hi there!

What disc player are you currently using? Have you tried importing the music to your Mac using another disc player?

It may also help to start up your Mac in safe mode to see if that resolves the issue.

This is the only portable disc player i have

i finally ripped the disc after 8 tries.. nearly scratched the disc trying..😖😣😫

i put it on my ipad afterwards, listened to it, it finally sound great. i think unfortunately my CD ripping days are over if i have to put up with this drama🤪 hehe
