What are the maximum voltages an Apple Watch series 8 can safely charge at? I know 5v is safe but I have a wireless multi port charging mat. When testing the input voltage to the wireless charging mat I notice it was using 9v from wall charger. I wasn’t sure if this was safe for my Watch or for that matter my AirPods.

The Apple Watch does not use Qi charging. So your charging matt is not going to do anything.
The Apple Watch uses its own different wireless charging.
Any USB based Apple Watch charger will provide the correct charging environment.
They are set to 9.0 volts. It is easer to use an Apple iWatch charger
If there is an Apple Watch section, then the matt will arrange for the induction coils to provide the correct transfer voltage when the Apple Watch is attached.
Thanks for the reply, the mat has 3 sections one is designated for an Apple Watch the other two are for Qi charging. The mat when plugged into an Apple 20w usb-c charger is using 9volts. The watch does charge at the expected 1.5w just not sure if the 9v was a problem.
