Using dictation without bluetooth mics

I recently switched from Android to Apple and am using an iPhone 14 Pro. I'm in the habit of relying heavily on voice dictation to text and email. Whenever my phone is hooked to Bluetooth (car, earbuds, speaker, etc) it automatically uses the Bluetooth device instead of the phone microphone when I try to dictate. Bluetooth devices don't capture voice well at all for this purpose. Is there any way to change this in settings? I've spent a good amount of time searching for an option to set the input preference for the voice dictation without success. This one feature is extremely important. Any help is appreciated!

Hello Onthefence_6,

Thanks for choosing the Apple Support Communities. We understand you do not want to use Bluetooth mics for Dictation while still being connected to a Bluetooth device.

Short of temporarily turning off Bluetooth, this is not currently an option. We do welcome your feedback and feature requests here: Feedback - iPhone - Apple

Cheers!
