Replace an Apple Watch Series 7 Question?

I have an Apple Watch Series 7 (purchased on release day) that the battery health is 86%. I didn't upgrade to the Series 8 because I didn't see much of an "upgrade" and it seems that the Series 9 will be too similar also.

Anyway, I can't see my Series 7 lasting till the Series 10 comes out (the way the battery is going it is usually down to 15-20% or so when I go to bed depending on what I did during the day which is what made me actually look for the battery health) so I am thinking of trading in my Series 7 and getting a refurbished Series 8 which then should last me until Series 10 is out. (Other option is obviously get the Series 9.)

Any thoughts/comments? Thanks.

Another (possibly cheaper) option is to just have the battery replaced in your watch. See:

The only “lesson” Apple needed to learn was to be more transparent about what they were doing. Apple put a function into iOS to slow down iPhones that had older batteries. The purpose was to prevent the phones from suddenly turning off. It was not to “make people upgrade” anything. The problem was resolved by replacing the battery. No upgrade was required. And by the way, iPhone still work that way.

Blathering nonsense and scurrilous lies. And if you think Apple is evil why do you use their products?
