Canon MX870 Driver for MAC OS beyond 10.11 (El Capitan)

I struggled a few hours trying to connect my new Macbook Air to our Canon MX870 and was getting nowhere. I found the following driver in this Canon Website that actually added the driver to the printer list and now I am able to print over Wi-Fi.

I am able to print now. Not sure how long this will be there, but for now, I have the file in my download folder for anyone who needs it.
