is ios 16 consume too much cellular data? I scrolled Facebook for 2-3min using cellular data (didn’t even watch reels or videos) and i saw from the setting that it consumed 28mb. Note that I turned off the auto play, background refresh as well as switched to data saver mode for the media. But still too much. Besides other app like safari also consume too much data

iOS 16 consumes ZERO data. All data use is by apps.
The amount of data apps consume is merely the data sent to the app. If you are scrolling FB, presumably there are images in the content, and every image you view is downloaded. Likewise for Safari; there are a lot of graphics on most websites, and graphics take a lot of space. Background app refresh is irrelevant when using Safari OR Facebook; turning it off or on won’t change the amount of data used.
The Facebook app is a known resource hog. If you must use FB, I recommend accessing it from a browser when required. Delete the app.
