For privacy and security reasons, it would not be possible to identify the name of a pair of AirPods unless the owner puts them into Lost Mode and includes that information as described in the article Mark AirPods as lost:


"If you misplace your AirPods (3rd generation), AirPods Pro (1st generation), or AirPods Max, you can mark your AirPods as lost and create a message that provides your contact information."


Barring that, if you located a pair of AirPods that do not belong to you, turning them into authorities near where they were located would be recommended to increase the chance the owner can have them returned.
