I recently bought an iPhone 12 from a stranger and neglected to get their login information. I don’t have a computer so is my phone a glorified paperweight?? Please advise if I can restore the phone

Even if you have a computer, the phone is useless unless you can contact the original owner and get them to release the lock on the phone.

The person who sold you the phone was probably not the owner. The phone that you bought was likely stolen. Turn it in to the police.

NEVER buy a used iPhone unless it powers up to the "hello" screen.
