Mac mini won't connect to Samsung TV

Hi

I have a samsung TV with buried HDMI cables in the wall.

I now have a Mac mini but they don't see each other when connected with HDMI cable. If I use a smaller length externally (i.e. not in the wall) they connect no problem, so this does fix the issue. however I would like to use the hidden HDMI cable as it looks better and I don't have to set up each time

I have tried HDMI signal boosters at each end but no joy - any body have any solution to this?

You're welcome.

If the cables are loose in the wall and the openings are large enough you might be able to use one of the old cables to pull a better cable. Of corse you would first need to find and test a longer premium cable that works.

Mac's are picky and require Premium Certified HDMI cables.

Any idea how long is the hidden run is?

Any idea if it is possible to pull a premium cable into the hidden run?

No, unfortunately., use 1m or less. The other option is to use Apple TV and strap it behind the TV. Assuming it’s for consuming video/audio, Apple TV is way better than the mini anyway.
