keychain is damaged

Hi, I had the below message pop up (mac book pro 2013), and have now lost all my keychain passwords, does anyone know how to fix this to get them back.

'your login keychain is damaged and cannot be used. A new keychain has been created for you. some passwords that were previously stored in the keychain will not be available.'

Navigate to the following folder,

~/Library/Keychains

... and restore that entire folder from a Time Machine backup: Restore items backed up with Time Machine on Mac - Apple Support
