I have mac M1, ventura 13.4. Touch ID is missing from the preference list. Any ideas?

Try booting into Safe Mode then restart normally. Sometimes that will fix anomalies.

What kind of M1 Mac. If it is not a MacBook M1, then do you have the Apple TouchID keyboard?

If so, try toggling the power switch and connect it to the Mac with the cable.

If it is a MacBook, I don't know what to try.
