retrieving deleted library album from emptied trash

Hi everyone, I hope someone out there can help me.

I have no clue how my library app was moved to trash, I was using an app to delete the duplicates in my photo album. Everything went well, later on I emptied my trash can although I checked what was in it and I’m 100% sure the library app wasn’t there.

anyways while emptying the trash can I saw like 100gb being erased when I tried to stop it it was too late.

my library album is empty now. And all my photos are gone.

does anyone out there know a solution for my problem.

I just hope there is one

If your computer uses an SSD and the Trash has been emptied, then there is no way to recover the data due to how SSDs work unless the item was accidentally relocated to somewhere else on the drive instead of the Trash. If you Mac is using a hard drive, then it may be possible to recover deleted data, but you must immediately stop using the computer or you risk overwriting the data you want to recover.

If you have a backup, then restore from the backup. If you don't have a backup, then it seems like it is time to start before you accidentally lose something else. macOS includes the Time Machine backup software for free....all you need is an external drive for the backup.
