Can’t click AppleTV device on Iphone

I am trying to cast from my IPhone to my AppleTV through AirPlay but when I physically tap on the device/tv I want to cast to, it won’t display the check mark. The AppleTV is correctly connected and I have done a restart but it still doesn’t work.

YouTube app won’t airplay We found that attempting to airplay from YouTube so on iOS results in the video becoming unresponsive. It happens even if we try to mirror the screen. I can only project the video to the tv if I use the cast protocol to send the video to the YouTube app on the Apple TV or running in the TV itself. i think it is intentional sabotage.

Unable to fix AirPlay streaming issues from iPhone 16 Pro to Apple TV after 18.4.1 update airplay streaming from iPhone 16 pro to apple tv not working since software upgrade to 18.4.1. Mirroring with certain things seems to work but am trying to stream an exercise class to apple tv and it will not work. I have done all the steps in checking network etc. and have turned on an off all devices (iphone, apple tv, router) [Re-Titled by Moderator]

Are both devices connected to the same home network?

Does it act the same regardless of content? Can you AirPlay other content from a different service, or a video shot on iPhone?

Have you verified the AirPlay access rules on the receiving device? Is it set to ‘Anyone on the Same Network’?

What is your model Apple TV?
