I can't sign into iMessage or facetime on my Mac at all ive tried many things and made sure my Mac is updated and it still won't work. I've had my Mac for a while now and have never been able to sign into iMessages or FaceTime, I "log" in and seconds after it kicks me out and gos back into the sign in page.

Apple ID authentication failure for Messages and FaceTime on MacBook Start Messages. Get prompted to log in. Facetime in Mavericks is broken? ADMINS : THIS POST IS FOR Earlier Operating Systems - PLEASE DO NOT MOVE IT TO FACETIME, THANK YOU I've used Facetime daily in Mavericks until last week. I had to reboot after a Bluetooth issue, which included deleting the Bluetooth plist. On restart, trying to use FT I was asked to sign in, which I'm NEVER asked normally. On entering my Apple ID plus password followed by 2FA 6 digits, I was met with the message 'The server encountered an error processing registration', and that's been the situation ever since. I also have a High Sierra VM where FT works, but the person I'm FT'ing hears an echo of their own voice which may be due to it running in a VM? (It wasn't there when FT'ing in Mavericks). Trying to restore FT files that had changed after the reboot with their equivalents from before, using Time Machine, didn't cure the problem. Tech: 2011 i7 iMac, 16GB RAM, 1TB SSD, Ethernet internet, OS Mavericks 10.9.5, VM OS High Sierra 10.13.6

I am not sure I get it when you say "I can't unlock my MacBook Air"....

Are you booted up and logged into your user account?

If it is an AppleID Settings issue— sign out of AppleID and back in again(?)

Check your Apple ID device list to see where you're signed in

Check your Apple ID device list to find where you're signed in - Apple Support

if no insight to your issue— try logging into a Safeboot to sort anomalies, make changes and reboot as normal.
