remote access for SMB Share Drives Disconnecting Randomly

Hi I have a problem if anyone can shed any light:

Have a few macbooks at work all running

MacOS Monterey and connecting for home users via SSL VPN using FortiClient via FortiGate Firewalls

Issue:

Network shared drive (Windows SMB) drops off Finder at random times when accessed remotely. In the offcie over LAN no issues.

Troubleshooting:

SSL VPN does not drop off (stayed on for 8 hours transmitting sending packets)

Mac was re-imaged to the latest version of Monterey

FortiClient was re-installed

Sleep mode is disabled

Acitity Monitoring did not show any useful logs of the shared drive dropping off

Wireshark PCAP did not show any useful logs of the shared drive dropping off

Fortigate did not show any logs from the source device

Tested dropping the shared drive to System Preferences > Account and Groups > Login Items

Issue persists and when the SMB Drives are acessed remotely and the connection drops, the files that were open are corrputed.

Any ideas how to fix this issue?

Thanks
