my little brother’s ipad is half-way glitching as in split in half from hamburger style, and near the home button you can see the screen cracked open a bit from the case of the iPad. I’m thinking of taking it in but worried about the cost of how much it may take to repair it.

Depending on what exactly has occurred, their solution may be replace the unit;
not repair it, since those are generally more disposable on a cost-basis vs repair.
