The Safari browser uses search engines like Yahoo, DuckDuck Go, Google, etc.,

To view / or change / the default Search engine for Safari on Mac:

With Safari open

Click Safari (in the top menu bar)

Choose Preferences from the drop-down menu that opened

Click "Search" in the top menu bar of the small window that opens

You can choose your preferred Search engine from the tiny blue arrows / list

or for Safari on iPhone:

Settings > Safari > Search Engine > Choose the search engine you want to use
