Apple Pay not working on Apple Watch

We want you to enjoy the convenience of using Apple Pay on your Apple Watch! Make sure to set up Apple Pay for your Apple Watch following these instructions: Set up Apple Pay on Apple Watch - Apple Support. Note that your bank may need to authorize your request to use your payment method in Apple Pay for each device. Check to make sure your payment methods have been successfully added and verified on your Apple Watch.

Then follow these instructions at the checkout. Make a note that your Apple Watch display will need to nearly touch the contactless card reader.

Pay for a purchase in a store with Apple Watch

1. Double-click the side button.

2. Scroll to choose a card.

3. Hold your Apple Watch within a few centimeters of the contactless card reader, with the display facing the reader.

A gentle tap and beep confirm that the payment information was sent. You receive a notification in Notification Center when the transaction is confirmed.
