The Subscribed Bell.

Dear Community,

I am confused. The subscribed bell is very confusing. Are you following the thread when the bell is filled in, or when it is blank?

Also, when you Follow a Sub-Community, all the posts in that Sub-Community end up in My Subscriptions. But on all posts, the bell is blank. So, I’m not subscribed to the threads. Buuuut… I am though, because all new activity in the posts comes up, etc. and the posts behave like subscribed posts, but they aren’t ones, cause the bells are blank, therefore “Not Subscribed!”

Any explanation appreciated.

..the bell-shaped icon exists and changes blue, once its thread

is Subscribed; as per Mozilla Firefox 'ESR 102.12' &/or FF 112.x..

Perhaps the mouse-over also will show word Subscribed too.

This, in macOS High Sierra 10.13.6. Late 2012 Mac mini i7 quad

core server, dual 1-TB 5400 RPM HDD, 4 system partitions; etc.

You certainly confused me - here is a link to the Using ASC forum which I am subscribed to and I see no "subscribed" bell. The only "bell" I see is beneath your post and is regulary empty unless I decide to report your post and it will be filled in after I hit report.

I have never heard of a bell for subscriptions.

Yes, beneath the OP’s first post in every thread (The original post in a thread,) is a bell, which is next to the report button.

This bell will subscribe, and unsubscribe you from a thread.

I am also “Following” Using ASC. My description above is probably confusing as 🔥, but that’s the best I can do…

It’s not really a big deal, I’m just trying to get some clarity on whatever I spake of, above; I thought maybe some of you who’ve been here for a long time, might pick up what I’m laying down.
