In the past you could search in finder and select "current folder" to narrow the results to the selected folder. This doesn't work anymore since a year or so. I get lots of results when selecting the whole computer but when you select "current folder" everything disappear. Spotlight do find the results. Who can help me to restore the old way

This might seem obvious but did you verify your Finder Settings, Advanced, and choose 'Search the Current Folder' under When performing a Search?

I had to erase the .Spotlight-v100 folder to make it work again.
I did it from Recovery because I don't like to alter live systems. Another person just deleted it from /System/Volumes/Data -- it's the same thing, but in Recovery, Spotlight isn't using it.
