band won't slide out on one side

My daughter got some aftermarket bands that would "stick" like this when she'd try to swap them out. I noticed that sometimes sliding it slightly the "insert" direction, then depressing the release button, then trying to slide it off can help. Some of them were real buggers to try to get off - so we've mostly stuck with Apple branded or a handful of aftermarket ones that seem to have better QC in their manufacturing.

But definitely wiggling the band right at the base while pressing the release button has had the best luck for me. Is it possible something "sticky" got on the watch and has formed a seal? If your Watch is of the water-resistant variety, always try soaking it in some warm water and then trying again? Even just dried sweat can bind up that tight fitting...
