Delete spoton.it. Need help.

I keep getting a pop up on my iPhone that says the certificate for spoton.it has expired. I do not know what it is or how to delete it. I’ve tried going to settings general vpn and it is not there. It is also not an app. I believe it is a calendar item. Thank you.

iPhone 13 Pro, iOS 16

Hi Mlkphd,

Searching for that term online suggests it could be related to subscribed calendars from a service SpotOn which no longer exists. The steps to remove calendars you don't recognize or no longer use can be found at Delete spam calendars and events on iPhone:

"How to remove calendar spam on your iPhone in earlier versions of iOS

  1. Open the Calendar app.
  2. At the bottom of the screen, tap Calendars.
  3. Look for a calendar that you don't recognize. Tap the More Info button  next to that calendar, then scroll down and tap Delete Calendar.

If this doesn't fix the issue, delete the calendar subscription in Settings:

  1. Open the Settings app.
  2. Tap Calendar > Accounts. Or if you use iOS 13, tap Passwords & Accounts > Accounts instead.
  3. Tap Subscribed Calendars.
  4. Look for a calendar that you don't recognize. Tap it, then tap Delete Account."

Regards.

I had tried those things, Bill, and unfortunately, it is not that. The pop up reads, “cannot verify server identity. The identity of spoon.it cannot be verified.” Then there are two option: details (which says that the certificate has expired) or cancel. I am getting this message several times a day. Other ideas to fix it would be appreciated. Thanks.
