Thanks for posting in the Apple Support Communities ignusa,

The following section of the iPhone User Guide offers guidance that will help you route calls to your audio preference.

You can automatically direct the audio of phone or FaceTime calls to the iPhone speaker, a Bluetooth headset, or your hearing device. iPhone can also automatically answer calls after a length of time you set.

1. Go to Settings  > Accessibility > Touch > Call Audio Routing, then choose an audio destination.
2. Tap Auto-Answer Calls, turn on Auto-Answer Calls, then set the duration of time before the call is answered by tapping the Decrement button or the Increment button.
During a call, you can switch the audio routing from your hearing aid to the iPhone speaker by removing the hearing aid from your ear.

i selected automatic on this setting and it worked perfect.

the down fall is i had selected speaker phone when no blue tooth was connected it went right to speaker phone.

i wish apple would make a section for selecting this as an option.

maybe several selectable options on audio priority depending on the status of the blutooth item connection.

Hi ignusa,

If you have a Bluetooth device connected and use the process outlined in the previous link to route calls to a Bluetooth headset, yes, you can also set your iPhone to automatically answer calls.

For information on setting up and using a Bluetooth accessory on iPhone, please check out this link, which will guide you through that process: Set up and use Bluetooth accessories on iPhone

Thanks!

the device is a kenwood multi media radio so will it do the hands free automatic when connected through blue tooth?

i wish apple would let us select by priority the device to handle the hands free.

that way if you had more than one device lets say in the house

you could use the alexa devices in the rooms but select the car radio as priority one.

that way when the devices power up and down they go to the next down the priority list.

so camper, boat etc. could all be on the hands free list by priority.
