Mac wireless connection with Xbox Controller

Hi, I have an xbox controller v5.13.3143.0 that pairs correctly with my Mac M1 Air v13.4 but doesn't work within any game. Some help please?

What is happening if you're trying to use it in a game? What helped me was restarting my MacBook after pairing the controller and then try to game
