how can I turn off find my, to my iPhone, when it is defective and inoperable? Is there a way that I could turn it off utilizing my iPad both of which have the same Apple ID?

my Iphone 12 Pro Max is defective and i need to mail it out, but i have to first turn off Find My. the phone is not working to take the easiest actions. is there a way to cut it off using my ipad?
