Ipad disabled Connect to Itunes

I have tried to download iTunes on my Mac but it is not allowing me to install it. However, my iPad is disabled and tells me to connect to iTunes? How do I Fix my iPad?

I am not sure what iPad this is for the record. My 6-year-old kept getting the password wrong.
