“A route can’t be shown because of a problem connecting to the server.” Why can’t Apple Maps find a location?

That is not the problem. No vpn, yes I have excellent connection. It doesn’t matter where I am located I get the same problem. It is frustrating since when I use Google Maps for the same location Google Maps can find the location and can generate directions just fine.

I get the same error too with a lot of addresses. Very frustrating, and definitely not a mobile connection issue. The nework works fine, no VPN or any other filters in use. Waze and Google Maps both work when Apple Maps gives me this error

It sounds like a connectivity problem. Are you using VPN? Do you have a cellular network connection?

Had exactly the same problem. Just restarted the maps app and it worked ok. Agreed … shouldn’t need to do that but there you go …
