iCloud on a family account

I have 2TBs of storage in the apple iCloud. It includes me, my wife and my daughter. Does the system keep each of our data separated by our individual Apple IDs & and passwords?

This is important to us because I was very badly hacked on mothers day and the hackers from Delhi were able to get my verification code for my Apple id and change the pw, entered their phone number and took over the account. We had over 1TB of backup in it and I want to make sure that they only have access to my data and not theirs as well.

Would I be correct in thinking that our icloud back ups are separated by our individual Apple IDs and PWs?

Yes. See the following from Share iCloud+ with your family - Apple Support

When you share an iCloud+ subscription, everyone in the family group uses their own account. That way your photos, documents, and other information stay private, even though you're sharing access to the service. You simply share the features and space available in iCloud+ with your family members, so you only have one plan to manage.
