The battery life of your iPhone XR seems to be significantly reduced, with both devices reaching 20% by 1pm. The battery health indicates a maximum capacity of 85% and 88% for each device, respectively. Since your devices are up to date on software, there are a few potential solutions to consider:

  1. Optimize battery usage: Check the battery usage in the settings to identify any power-hungry apps or features. You can disable or limit their usage to conserve battery.
  2. Reduce screen brightness: Lowering the screen brightness can help conserve battery power throughout the day.
  3. Enable Low Power Mode: Activating Low Power Mode can extend battery life by limiting background activities and reducing performance.
  4. Reset settings: Consider resetting the device settings to default, as it may resolve any software-related issues affecting battery life.
  5. Battery replacement: If the battery health continues to decline and the above steps don't improve battery life, it may be necessary to replace the batteries of your devices.

It's recommended to reach out to Apple Support or visit an authorized service provider for further assistance and professional advice regarding the battery issues with your iPhone XR devices.

There are major issues with a number of different models of IPhone since the 16.4.1 (a) update.

This forum is littered with posts complaining about the same issue, and instead of doing something about it you have a number of users of the forum posting the same copy and past "make sure you've tried this, put your phone into power mode".
