Thank you I saw how to do this but fetch rewards does not have Update next to it. I have updated all others because they have the word Update but fetch rewards just says open and there is no update beside it. Fetch rewards is telling me to update or I can’t use it. Thank you for trying to help.

Hi, please do not delete your Fetch app. I was having the same problem for weeks until I figure it out go to your Apple store type the fetch app you will not see an update box only one that says open. Not to worry top down on the Fetch icon hold it for a few seconds the update option will appear. If you delete and start your phone, you will lose all your points in your account.

It reads that the updated app needs IOS 16.0 to open, I have IOS 15.82. Is this a way to force the pubic to update their iphones???? There must be a way to get the rewards points that I spent months uploading.

Apple doesn't own Fetch, nor have ANY control over what iOS versions they are willing to support. Apple can't make the Fetch App compatible with iPhones which are not capable of being updated to the lowest iOS version Fetch is willing to support. If not being able to use Fetch encourages you to retire an old out of date iPhone, that is NOT Apple's intention, but as time goes on, you will find more and more 3rd part app developers abandoning support for apps on older devices. You can certainly complain to Fetch, but its unlikely they will invest the time, money and resources in making the app compatible with out of date iPhones.

I had this issue as well. I was stuck in a loop of trying to update with no update available.

Here is how I fixed it:

Find the Fetch app on your Home Screen. Hold the Fetch app down. Hoover and click on the red button that says “remove App”. Then you will click on the button that says “remove from Home Screen”. (don’t delete the app or you will lose your app data) Then go back into the App Store, search for Fetch and reopen it. Hope this helps!

Hello Fifilefume,

Thanks for adding in that additional info.

Depending what iOS you are on, you might need to update that first.

But the alert: "Fetch rewards is telling me to update" is from the developer. If you are already running iOS 16.5, and checked the App Store for the Fetch app, and deleting the Fetch app, restarting your iPhone, and then redownloading the Fetch app all do not work, then please reach out to the developer for help with their app:
