Error messages on iCal

I am getting constant "the server responded with an error" messages on my calendar on my iMac. I can't use any other function unless I click "ignore" or "try again" or "revert to server". When I click on one of those options, the message disappears and another one pops up immediately. After four to six times clicking on one of the options, the messages finally cease for a time and then start popping up again.

Here's what it says:

The server responded with an error.

The request for “Call Charles Orcutt ” in “Work” in account “***@me.com” failed.

The server responded with

“400”

to operation CalDAVUploadDropBoxFileQueueableOperation.

I finally fixed my instance of this problem: CalDAVWriteEntityQueueableOperation 400 error on MacOS. I had a user on my google domain that years ago established a recurring calendar event which years ago I accepted. Subsequently that user left the company and I deleted their google account on our domain. However the calendar request they had established as recurring kept sending the same request out to my calendar. When I tried to delete the event, I received the CalDAVWriteEntityQueueableOperation error. To finally fix this, I had to log onto Google Calendar through my browser and delete the recurring calendar event. Seems to be fixed.

I found a solution that worked for both my husband and me. Turned out verizon/aol/yahoo changed their email stuff to something fancy without letting us know. If you go to your aol webmail, then settings, in the ribbon on the left, there's an option to change back to "basic" mail. Doing so made both of our computers work again. I lost my verizon email in the process (because I have a mid-2012 MacBook with v4 email and verizon/aol/yahoo didn't create a way for me to put the temporary password back in). But!! The mail-forwarding option within AOL's Basic Mail window now works (it didn't before), so I asked to have my verizon mail forwarded to my other email account (and it worked). Hope this helps others.
