CAMERA ROLL GLITCH Apple never heard of..

Recently noticed that my iPhone 4 native Camera and Photo App will not work if I save an image from either a text or email. This all started right after I imported my camera roll to the computer to empty it out. Everything worked fine till saving an image from a text to the roll. The photo app would say it's Reconstructing Album and then just go back to the hone screen. These are some of the conditions:

1. Native Camera and Photo App loads but then flashes to home screen.
2. Can access synced photos via texts and/or third party apps but no Camera Roll.
3. Can take photo via text or third party app but can't save to Camera Roll.
4. Doesn't save screen shots.
5. Restored phone to default and still have problem.
6. Problem doesn't occur till I try to save image.

I've pondered for two days now and Apple Tech hasn't a clue what to do. Part of me thinks that this might be caused from either pulling all photos off Camera Roll or the most recent update. Only thing I can think to do next is sync another iPhone to see if the problem persists. What's your take? Thanks.

Update: Restored to default. Took screen shot and saved to album. However the second I save image either via text or email, still causes the glitch to occur. Really getting annoying on how this isn't working even after a Restore >=(

I have the same problem. after the glitch occurs try taking a photo and then delete it in the camera roll from the camera> If its the same thing i have wrong then it will just say saving photo and will do nothing. I think this was caused by the update. Im glad im not the only one though i thought i had broke my phone some how

I am having the same problems with my iphone 3GS and I thought it just started today but must have been after the last update two days ago. My photos app will open and say camera roll but then appears frozen and unusable.
My camera opens and acts like it's working with the little zoom/focus box thing but will not take a picture.
And as you mentioned, my text is the only way I can take a picture if I hit the little camera button in my text screen then it will take a picture or even allow me to choose an existing photo....but doesn't save the pictures I take and send.
My screen shot is working and saving to photo's app but still won't open past the camera roll screen.
How long does apple usually take to fix this kind of problem????
Do you think it is with happening with all iphones due to the last update??
