If the Settings app is missing from your iPhone SE's home screen, here are a few steps you can take to recover it:

  1. Search for the Settings App: Swipe down on the home screen to reveal the search bar at the top of the screen. Type "Settings" into the search bar and see if the Settings app appears in the search results. If it does, tap on it to open the app. You can also swipe left or right on the search results to navigate to different pages and look for the Settings app.
  2. Reset Home Screen Layout: It's possible that the Settings app icon was accidentally moved to a different home screen page or placed in a folder. To reset the home screen layout, go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Home Screen Layout. This will reset the app icons on your home screen to their default positions, which may bring back the Settings app.
  3. Check App Library: On iOS 14 or later, the App Library organizes your apps automatically and could be another place where the Settings app is located. Swipe left on the home screen pages to access the App Library and look for the Settings app in the appropriate category.
  4. Restore from Backup: If none of the above solutions work, you can try restoring your iPhone SE from a recent backup. Connect your iPhone to a computer with iTunes or Finder, select your device, and choose the option to restore from a backup. Make sure to select a backup from a time when the Settings app was still present.
  5. Update iOS: Ensure that your iPhone SE is running the latest version of iOS. Sometimes, updating to the latest iOS version can resolve minor software issues. Go to Settings > General > Software Update and check if an update is available. If there is, download and install it on your device.

If none of these solutions bring back the Settings app or if you're still experiencing difficulties, it's recommended to contact Apple Support or visit an Apple Store for further assistance. They can provide personalized guidance based on your specific device and configuration.

Troubleshooting Lost Apps:

A. Drag it Back:

Swipe your finger in from the right. Then, drag it back over.

No Success?...

B. Reset the Home Screen Layout:

If a widget or app has gone mossing somehow, then you need to reset the Home Screen Layout...

Go Here: Move and organize apps on iPhone - Apple Support

You'd have to add back all the widgets that you can recall being back on there.

Scroll to: Reset the Home Screen and Apps to their Original Layout

  1. Go to: Settings
  2. Tap: General
  3. Tap: Reset
  4. Tap: Reset Home Screen Layout
  5. Then... Add the apps back

Settings icon disappeared on an iPhone SE.
