I erased all content and setting on my MacBook Air 2020 in order to delete everything off this laptop to gift to a younger sibling and it is stuck loading and after loading it gives me a message that says “Enter password to unlock the disk”Macintosh HD” and when I enter the password it reboots and asks the same question over and over and over. I’ve put my password about 20 times now and I don’t know how to get out of this continuous loop of frustration.

I suspect that your Mac wasn't correctly erased. Follow these instructions to fully erase your Mac.
For context, your Mac uses two important volumes: the system volume (Macintosh HD), and the data volume (Macintosh HD - Data). These two are bound together into a volume group. If you used Disk Utility to erase your Mac, the correct way to do it would have been to erase the volume group, or erase the system volume and delete the data volume.

Following tip could help your issue,
Hold the power button + Command Key + R. Keep holding until you see the loading bar on the screen. Once booted into Recovery Mode, go to Disk Utility > Continue > Utilities Terminal. Type the “resetpassword” command in the terminal and hit the Enter key.
