my iPhone8, bluetooth not connecting fully. When trying to pair the other device is visable (discovered) on the iPhone8 but my iPhone8 is not discoverable on the other devices. Tried with another iPhone same problem.
Cannot transfer messages or use handsfree with blue tooth.

Hi Tim, thanks for responding most helpful, to diagnose/test I was trying to pair with an iOS phone.
Just tried with another Bluetooth device altogether and it works fine.
must be a compatibility problem with the particular modulator and iOS16. Though the same modulator works ok with iOS12.5.
What, exactly, are you trying to pair it with?
You can not pair it with another iOS device or a computer.
Trying to pair with a modulator that's to connect through a car radio.
