Are you using a VPN? If so, disconnect from it.

One thing I forgot, if you are using a vpn-turn it off and try again.

A 403 forbidden error means you have reached the server, the server recognizes your request but is ignoring it because of authentication issues or insufficient credentials.

Something is wrong with the Apple ID being used or the server they are contacting.

I have 3 iMacs and erased everything on an older 2007 IMac.. Trying to reload, but I keep getting 493 forbidden error.. What can I do as I have erased everything and do not have serial number.. My daughter has Apple ID which I wanted to use but got same error.. I tried using my new iMac and forever Apple ID and still receive 403 forbidden error..

Yes, I know. I was able to login to the page without being told it was forbidden. My link was simply the top level page - mostly to check and see we were talking about the same site.
