Unable to Get Verification Code for iTunes Store
I haven't used the Apple Music store in several years, but I wanted to purchase a few songs from one of my favorite artists. Before I could purchase a song, it asked me very my billing info since I hadn't been logged in in quite some time. It took me to a screen saying a code was sent to my phone number on record, but I never received an SMS. Likewise, the "Didn't get a code?" link didn't do anything. Only refreshed the view. After a few attempts it locked me out saying the "SMS request limit has been reached, please wait a while and try again later."
Any ideas as to why I was unable to verify my payment method? My Paypal information from a few years ago hasn't changed, nor has my phone number so something seemed broken here. As is, on the initial verification screen I saw an error saying something to the effect of "Billing not available at this time" but had no idea what that meant. I tried getting a verification code from my Mac's privacy settings, but that did not work. Little frustrated as there's no other store I can get this artist's music from and it's not letting me do anything.
