Ok just received my new IPad living with the fact another new power cord. So I can only plug in a wall socket no usb port on other end do you know how inconvenient this is ??? 🤬 bought this for a new upcoming trip with a lot of plane travel so now I have no way to charge it plus my house has the usb ports even my recliner! Is there a solution for this issue and please DO NOT tell me to return it for an older model. Waiting to hear Gobeaves

Your new iPad, with a USB-C port, will have been supplied with both 20W USB-C Power Adapter - and a USB-C to USB-C charging cable - with which to optimally charge the iPad at its maximum supported charging rate.
While it is possible to charge the iPad with an older style 12W USB Type-A Power Adapter, you would require a USB Type-A to USB-C charging cable. For example:

Simple plug-adapters to convert USB-A to USB-C are not certified - as these can produce fault conditions that can cause significant damage to your iPad. Given the high cost of repairing an iPad, cheap adapters are a false economy.
