Trade in

Did you order the phone online when you bought your new iPhone? If you did and you identified a trade at the time of order, they'll send a trade in kit, even if you ultimately did the trade directly in the store. Just ignore the trade kit, when it arrives. I always order my new iPhone and identify my trade with the order. And they always send me a trade in kit, but I also always do the trade at the Apple Store. You should have nothing to worry about.

What is the nature of the kit? What does it look like and include?

I suggest you call the Store, ask them what the kit is for. Then when you have been told why, my question you may pass by.

About the Trade in Kit:

It would be a box, aligned with styrofoam in side of it, and instructions on what to perform to get it set. It's the process I sent through.
