Volume of Apple Maps navigation voice

How do I turn down the volume? I have Apple CarPlay and iPhone, the iPhone connected to the 2022 Cadillac by Bluetooth. Nothing controls the volume of the Apple Maps navigation voice

Yes, actually using the volume control buttons on the steering wheel work IF IT IS in the middle of the speaker’s sentence. If the radio is on, the same buttons control radio volume, unless you go right over the navigation speech

Thanks for posting in the Apple Support Communities LaJunta,

While directions are being spoken, you can turn down the volume with the volume buttons on the side of your iPhone.

You can also have only driving alerts spoken, or mute spoken directions.
