Hello Go4man58,

Thank you for reaching out regarding the issue you're experiencing with reinstalling the operating system on your Mac. I'm here to help you with this matter.

If you have deleted the operating system on your Mac and are unable to reinstall it, here are some steps you can try to resolve the issue:

1. Internet Recovery Mode: Start your Mac and hold down the Option + Command + R keys simultaneously until you see the Apple logo or a spinning globe. This will boot your Mac into Internet Recovery Mode. From there, you can follow the on-screen instructions to download and reinstall the macOS version that originally came with your Mac. Note that this process requires a stable internet connection. (Use macOS Recovery on an Intel-based Mac - Apple Support (IS))

2. Bootable macOS Installer: If Internet Recovery Mode is not working or not available, you can create a bootable macOS installer using another Mac computer or a macOS installer downloaded from the App Store. Connect the bootable installer to your Mac and restart it while holding down the Option key. This will allow you to select the bootable installer as the startup disk and proceed with the reinstallation process. (Create a bootable installer for macOS - Apple Support)

3. Apple Support: If the above steps do not resolve the issue, I recommend contacting Apple Support (Official Apple Support) directly for further assistance. They can provide you with specific guidance based on your Mac model and help troubleshoot the issue more effectively.

It's important to note that reinstalling the operating system will erase all data on your Mac, so it's essential to have a backup of your important files before proceeding.

I hope these steps help you in reinstalling the operating system on your Mac. If you have any further questions or need additional assistance, please let me know.

Best regards,

Lugab

Mount the Drive:

Probably because you have yet to mount the drive. To mount the drive, boot up in Recovery Mode (Silicon or Intel) and then select Disk Utility. From there, mount the drive. If it is already mounted, then unmount it and then mount it. Also, click the First Aid button for each volume of the drive.
