No one in our shared photo album is receiving notifications of activity like before. How can I turn it on?

As a family, we've used iPhoto and a shared album for years. At some point over the past few months, we noticed that no one in the family is receiving notifications of activity when someone adds or comments in the shared album. When I or anyone used to add a file, I would immediately hear a sound on everyone's devices and have a badge icon.

I have checked on the devices and we all still have iPhoto notifications turned on. Everyone can see the photos added to the album. On the desktop app, if we check "activity" everyone's actions are listed. We're just not getting any notifications at all (sound, notification, badge app, etc.).

I tried toggling the notifications off and back on. Didn't help.

Any way to re-activate it? Thank you.

I did it the way you described already, including having all of the devices in front of me and doing it at the same time. No help.

We did change some devices during this time, but it should be tied to iCloud. Today, I removed everyone from the list completely and re-sent invitations to everyone. Notifications resumed for 3 of the 4 people just a few minutes ago. No idea why the 4th is hung up.

Thanks for posting in the Apple Support Communities.

Since noticing this issue with the notifications for your Shared Photo Album, have you tried disabling and re-enabling Notifications for Photos? If not, that would be the best step to try.

On your Mac, choose Apple menu > System Settings, then click Notifications in the sidebar and select Photos.
On your iOS device go to Settings > Notifications > Photos.

Once you've disabled the notification, restart your device and when powered back up, re-enable notifications, and see if that helped.
