Sorting multiple playlists by recently added descending instead of ascending

On Apple Music on MacOS, it’s possible to sort the order of your playlists by recently added, ascending (where latest added playlists appear at the top of your list), or descending (where latest added playlists appear at the bottom). However, on iOS, the default for sorting by recently added is to sort by ascending, with no option to sort by descending. Is there any other way to do this? Or a way to just position playlists in a custom order?

NB: This is regarding the order of playlists themselves, NOT the songs within a playlist

This is clearly not what they asked. They want to change the order of the sorting - ie by Title but Z to A instead of A to Z. Or by Recently Added and show either the newest or oldest added playlists. Or by Type, and show user created playlists first instead of saved Apple Music created ones.

SometImes users post on here without checking sources first; that’s a scenario where copy-pasting an Apple guide is useful. But please don’t give people who are searching for an answer to this actual question false hope with a “solution” that doesn’t even apply just for community points.

Hello henryskinner,

You are able to manage the arrangement of your playlists, as explained at View albums, playlists, and more in Music on iPhone - Apple Support. Per that article:

1. Tap Library, then tap Playlists, Albums, Songs, TV & Movies, or Music Videos.
2. Tap Sort, then choose a sorting method, such as title, artist, recently added, or recently played.

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities!
