Can't hear garagebnand synth

tried everything, everything. I guess I've tried everything minus that one thing. but no dice. can't hear synth. opened a new track, no. restarted Garageband, no. restarted computer, no. checked settings, all good, no dice.

a half hour's work again transformed into a day's brain tumor. i hate technology.

Garage Band tracks stuck mute Hi, returned to a Garage Band project after months away and opened it in an updated (latest) version on Ventura 13.1. Added a track (AIFF file from Music). When I play the project back, the only track that outputs audio is the new track, even though it's indicating muted in the left margin (a diagonal line through the little speaker icon). Trouble is, all of the other tracks are muted and none of them output audio when played -- unless soloed! Clicking on the crossed-out-speaker on each track is futile, the icon just doesn't change. None of this was (knowingly) done by me! How do I hear my mix? Any tips?

GarageBand not making any sound I have no hardware at all connected to my iPhone, which is what I’m running GarageBand on. I haven’t changed any settings that would affect it. Only thing I can think of is making sure the tracks aren’t on solo or mute, and they’re not. I’m not using Bluetooth either. My onboard speakers work just fine. Still, I am getting no sound when playing back at all. What is going on???

GarageBand recording audio cuts out above certain decibel When recording audio on Garageband, it doesn't record audio above a certain decibel. I've tried resetting controls and I can record audio through the same equipment for other apps with no issues. It's just an issue on GarageBand. I don't know how to fix this. Wondering which version of Garageband you are using, as Garageband updates from the App Store, (ie: not from the usual MacOS updates).

Eg: Check Garageband > About Garageband

App Store shows Version 10.4.8 that became available about 3 months ago

says:

"This update provides important security fixes and is recommended for all users".
