Screentime and Computer Files

For some reason, certain files on my computer are blocked by screentime, but can't be changed in settings. Is there a way to fix this? They won't appear under "Always Allowed" in settings.

I figured it out

For it to show up under "Always Allowed", I have to move the file to the applications folder.

Thank you so much though; really appreciate it!

It would come down to what files are blocked and what the settings are in Screen Time. There are several overlapping settings across the different sections: Downtime, App Limits, Communication Limits, Always Allowed, and Content & Privacy Restrictions. Each one would need to be reviewed to see if it meets the criteria for the app or file to be used. For example, you could have Music allowed in the "Always Allowed" section, but still restrict access to it in "Content & Privacy Restrictions".
