Pages won't open in Microsoft word or Windows to receivers of pages

I have pages only iMac and MacBook. sending documents created there cannot be opened by receivers who have Microsoft Word, or Windows. Please help!

Further.....if you wish to save a pages file as a word file, choose Pages menu File > Export To > Word...

Recipient can't read attachments in Pages For the first time on my new MacBook, I sent a document written in Pages (which came on the new MacBook; my old Mac had Word). The recipient can't open the document written in Pages. Does this mean I can now only communicate with people who have Macs w/Pages? That's hardly efficient. iMac Mid 2011 OS - High Sierra won't allow me to open certain links/attachments. OK on all other devices. I cannot open an attachment from paperlesspost on my iMac. Also, I cannot open a link I was sent to e-sign a document. Other similar examples where i just see a spinning circle after entering correct username and PW credentials. I ONLY have this problem on the iMac. Everything works as it should on my MacBook pro, iPhone and iPad. It doesn't matter what browser I use... the problem remains. So confused as to why this is happening. Please assist if you can. Thanks

Have you saved the documents in word format? Word can’t open pages documents. They need to be saved in a format Word understands.
